POIPU BAY STRING QUARTET  Kauai
Musical Arts is pleased to bring you the Poipu Bay String Quartet. Four talented
string players who blend together to form the best String Quartet on Kauai.
Gordon
Marron plays first violin and brings his experience, technique, and spirit to
the quartet. Dennis
Haack plays second violin. His father was a Concertmaster on the East Coast, and
growing up in that environment, it was inevitable that music would be a large
part of Dennis' life. Mark
Asay is the violist in the Quartet. He has a great viola sound, and loves what
he's doing with it. Blending, keeping everything together, playing a passage with
the second violinist perfectly. We're fortunate to have him on Kauai. Our
cellist, Beth Donaldson completes the quartet. She's a solid player, and in addition
to Weddings, Receptions, and Dinners, the String Quartet has given some Chamber
Music Concerts. They were beautiful, and Beth helped so much. (Gordon
has been on Maui, playing Concertmaster for their Symphony, and the Big Island.
He has played String Quartets on both outer islands. In his opinion, the Poipu
Bay String Quartet "is right up there with the best of the outer island String
Quartets.") Check
